The majority of people seeking cat behavior help will go with a behavior consultation. Behavior consultations are designed to help with unwanted behaviors. Before resorting to undesirable outcomes like rehoming, let me help! A behavior consultation is more comprehensive than cat training and will get to the root of what's causing your cat's unwanted behavior. We'll go over environmental factors, human factors, your cat's history, and more to come up with a solution.
Behavior consultations can help with a variety of unwanted behaviors included cats not using the litter box, biting, fighting cats, and more. If you're trying to decide if you should rehome your cat, I can help give you a non-judgemental, objective assessment of if it is in the best interest of your cat or if there are other things you can try first. It's a challenging decision and I'm here to support you making the right choice for your situation!
See below for more information on what a behavior consultation is, prices, and links to book sessions online. I offer full consultations, short sessions for minor problems, and packages of sessions. If you want to chat before booking, you can contact me via e-mail, text, or our contact form. You can also schedule a 15 minute call to ask any questions you might have about working with me or go over the process! As a friendly reminder, I cannot give behavior advice without setting up a consultation.
Whether you're a first time cat parent, have a big life transition coming up, or are planning to adopt a second cat, Class Act Cats is here to help! Don't let more complex behavior problems develop with our preventative packages.
For many behavior problems, I strongly prefer people book multiple sessions. Why? I like to work with you over time to make sure we're really addressing the problem! It ultimately helps you and your cats to do multiple sessions rather than just one session. It also prevents us from having to squeeze too much into a single session.
Follow up sessions are 60 minutes and billed hourly at $115 per hour (plus an additional $35 travel fee per session for in home sessions). However, because it is ultimately better for your cat, I offer packages of follow up sessions at a discount for folks who purchase them up front:
You get 30 days of e-mail or text support from your most recent session included in the price.
You can purchase follow up sessions via the client webpage that is included in your initial session confirmation e-mail.
Most of the time, virtual consultations are a great way to do an assessment. My prices are set based on virtual sessions. However, there may be reasons where it makes sense for me to come by your home for a consultation (or you may just prefer an in-home consultation!). This involves extra time and travel expenses so an additional fee of $35 will be charged to account for this. If you are outside my service area, an additional fee may be charged to account for the additional travel time and expense. Travel fees are due at booking and are non-refundable.
