Joey will guide you on the best way to address the problem and reduce your stress. All you need to do is be implement the plan and keep him updated on what to do.

Scheduling A Behavior Consultation

The first step in getting started is scheduling a 90 minute virtual session (which are better than in home sessions) to review the problem and come up with an initial plan. If your case involves aggression between cats: you are required to purchase an additional 30 minute follow up session.

Estimated Total Costs

You should go into this expecting to need at least one follow up session. The total cost is proportionate to the work Joey does for you so you don’t pay more than you have to.

For cases not involving aggression between cats, an estimated total cost is $185 and $800 total. Cases involving aggression between cats will likely cost between $600 and $1500. These estimates include the first session. In cases where you have a more severe problem or want extra support, the final cost may be higher.

Schedule Your First Session For $185

Zoomies Session

Zoomies sessions are short 30 minute sessions for a single, minor problem or to over something quick like helping your cat get used to their carrier. If the problem is one that is annoying but not dangerous or enough to consider rehoming your cat, this consultation may be the way to go.

House soiling/litter box problems, fighting cats/conflict between cats/introducing cats, aggression toward humans, and any situation where euthanasia is being considered always require a full consultation.

If you have multiple problems you want to go over or your cat is extremely fearful, you should schedule a full consultation.

Suitable for a single minor problem or if you just want to pick my brain about something.

Follow Up Sessions

When signing up for a behavior consultation, assume you will need multiple sessions, especially if you have fighting cats. Cats are complicated!

Follow up sessions are done virtually unless Joey specifically recommends an in home session.

Depending on the behavior problem we are working on, your options for follow ups sessions vary:

  • For cat reintroductions, you can book 30, 45, or 60 minute follow up sessions. However, we suggest doing 30 minute sessions every two weeks if you are accepted into our reintroduction program.
  • For most other behavior concerns where you book a full consultation, you can do 45 minute follow up sessions for $90 or 60 minute follow sessions for $120.

Prevention Packages

Whether you’re a first time cat parent or are planning to adopt a second cat, Class Act Cats is here to help before behavior problems arise! We offer prevention packages to keep your cats (and you) happy, calm, and purring away.

In Home Session Costs And Service Area

Virtual consultations are the better way to do a behavioral assessment as we get to see your cat behave closer to how they normally behavior and it is less stressful for them. It’s also more relaxing for you as you get to hang out at home and don’t have to worry about your kitty being thrown off by a stranger showing up. While all first sessions without exception are virtual, Joey may recommend an in home session for follow up in some cases. These are usually human directed aggression cases.

Cost for the in home session varies depending on driving time, distance, time of year, time of appointment, and behavior concern.

What constitutes a reasonable drive? A 20 minute drive of Bde Maka Ska Playground located at 2707 W Lake St, Minneapolis, MN 55416 is our typical limit.

The service area for in home appointments includes Minneapolis, St. Paul, St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, New Hope, Brooklyn Center, Plymouth, Fridley, Columbia Heights, New Brighton, Fridley, Crystal, Robbinsdale, St. Anthony, Lauderdale, Roseville, Falcon Heights, Arden Hills, Edina, Minnetonka, and surrounding suburbs.
