Cat Not Acting
Very Classy?
The majority of people seeking cat behavior help will go with a behavior consultation. Learn more about what a behavior consultation involves, prices, and book your first session right from this page!
Behavior consultations are designed to help with unwanted behaviors. Before resorting to undesirable outcomes like rehoming, let me help! A behavior consultation is more comprehensive than cat training and will get to the root of what’s causing your cat’s unwanted behavior. We’ll go over environmental factors, human factors, your cat’s history, and more to come up with a solution.
Behavior consultations can help with a variety of unwanted behaviors including cats not using the litter box, biting, fighting cats, and more. If you’re trying to decide if you should rehome your cat, I can help give you a non-judgmental, objective assessment of whether it is in the best interest of your cat or if there are other things you can try first. It’s a challenging decision and I’m here to support you in making the right choice for your situation!
I offer full consultations, short sessions for minor problems, and packages of sessions. If you want to chat before booking, you can contact me via e-mail, text, or our contact form. As a friendly reminder, I cannot give behavior advice without setting up a consultation.
Initial Consultation
The first step to determining how to help your cat is booking an initial 90 minute session. Initial consultations can be done virtually or in home if you are within my service area. I begin your consultation before we even meet by gathering information and assigning homework in some cases. At the initial session, we’ll go over your cat’s history and behavior in depth and figure out what the root cause of the problem is. Addressing the root cause allows us to not only address the problem now but prevent it in the future! We’ll come up with a plan to start addressing the problem. Some cases may require multiple sessions so I offer shorter follow up sessions for continuing to address your cat’s behavior. Information on follow up sessions is available below.
NEW! Want to continue working with me and extend your e-mail support? When you book your initial session, you can include an additional 30 minute virtual follow up for $60. I don’t offer 30 minute follow up sessions normally so this is a great way to ensure the problem gets addressed.
- Start receiving support right away upon booking
- Receive a customized behavior modification plan
- Includes a written or video summary, your choice!
- Includes 30 days of follow up via e-mail or text
$175
Plus $40 travel fee for in home sessions. This session is to go over what’s going on with your cat and come up with an initial plan.
Zoomies Session
Have a quick question about cats? Have a minor problem you want to address that doesn’t need a full session? This is the option for you! Much like the zoomies in cats, this session is quick and will help get you the advice you need! You can also book this if you have just a few questions you want to ask or want to learn more about cats in general. Examples of problems that can be addressed in a short session include cats waking you up at night and your cat nibbling on your plants. Problems that would NOT be appropriate for this session include biting, litter box problems, or fighting cats. I’m happy to help clarify if you’re not sure which route to go!
Important Note: If you have multiple minor problems, these sessions are too short to go over multiple problems in enough detail to adequately address each of them. A regular behavior consultation is a better choice.
- 30 minute virtual session
- Get personalized advice on your situation
- Ask me (almost) anything about cats
- Includes brief written summary and any resources needed
- Includes 2 weeks of follow up by e-mail or text
$75
Suitable for a single minor problem or if you just want to pick my brain about something.
Follow Up Sessions
For many behavior problems, you will need multiple sessions to solve them. This is especially true if you have fighting cats. Cat behavior is complex and I have solutions, but you should expect it to take time to resolve many behavior concerns. It also prevents us from having to squeeze too much into a single session.
Follow up sessions are done virutally unless I have a specific reason I recommend another in home session. Sessions are $90 for a 45 minutes session or $120 for 60 minutes and can be purchased individually. However, because it is ultimately better for your cat, I offer packages of 1 hour follow up sessions at a discount for folks who commit to multiple sessions at once. I do not let people book packages until we’ve met as I want to make sure you get the right number of sessions for your situation.
When booking your initial session, you can also opt to add on a virtual 30 minute follow up session. 30 minute sessions are only available as an add on to your first session.

Travel Fee
Most of the time, virtual consultations are a great way to do an assessment and there is no real advantage to in home sessions over virtual sessions. My prices are set based on virtual sessions. However, there may be reasons why it makes sense for me to come by your home for a consultation. This involves extra time and travel expenses so an additional fee of $40 will be charged to account for this. Travel fees are due at booking and are non-refundable.
You are limited to one in home session per client unless I specifically recommend another in home session.
